Flextronics Logistics is requesting an Operating Permit for three (3) diesel-fired emergency generators that are located at a facility that they have purchased. There is one 1180 horsepower Caterpillar 3412 generator, one (1) Cummins DFCB 465 hp generator, and one MTU DS800 1086 horsepower generator. These generators will be used for backup electricity during power outages.

The impact to ambient air quality resulting from these construction and/or modification projects is not expected to be significant. The Department intends to issue the requested permits.

When submitting comments that reference research papers, articles, or other sources, commenters must provide the following: (1) a copy of the full referenced material (preferably in PDF format); (2) sufficient background context from the cited source; and (3) a concise explanation of how the cited material supports the commenter's position.

A copy of the application materials used by the Department is available for public inspection at the Pollution Control Section office, during normal business hours (8:00 am – 4:30 pm). Interested parties are invited to review these materials and provide written comments. Written comments will be accepted for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the date of this public notice at the following address:
