Memphis Heritage Inc. will present its 2018 Preservation Film Series Mondays March 5-26 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Howard Hall, 2282 Madison Ave. Join Memphis Heritage each Monday in March to view a preservation issue captured on the big screen, followed by a discussion with local experts who bring the topic home to Memphis. Leadership Memphis hosts its 2018 Leadership Awards Luncheon Wednesday, March 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. Social and business entrepreneur Josh McManus will present the keynote, and the organization will honor three community leaders and eight SUCCESS high school students for their outstanding leadership and community service. Tennessee Small Business Development Center will host a workshop titled “Access to Capital and Credit Repair” Thursday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the City of Memphis Business Development Center, 555 Beale St. Learn about small-business financing options for individuals looking to start or expand a business. Tennessee Small Business Development Center will present an introductory course titled “Developing a Winning Business Plan” Thursday, March 8, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar Ave. This workshop will help attendees gain insights on why a business plan is important and the preparation needed to begin writing it.
