Allegiant Airlines is hosting a customer celebration Wednesday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central BBQ, 147 E. Butler Ave. The event includes $100 travel vouchers for the first 50 people, free lunch for everyone, chances to win 10 pairs of round-trip tickets, and a presentation of a $5,000 gift to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Cost is free.

Memphis Botanic Garden hosts its Food Truck Garden Party: Superheroes vs. Villains on Wednesday, June 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MBG, 750 Cherry Road. The party features live music, cash bar, food trucks, an area where guests create their own superhero/villain masks, 901 Comics booth and more. The Helping Others Helps Your Company symposium is Thursday, June 14, from 8 a.m. to noon in the U of M Fogelman Executive Conference Center, 330 Innovation Drive. The Operation: Safe Community initiative is an opportunity for Memphis area employers to learn more about how to tap into sources of skilled, qualified workers who happen to be ex-offenders.
