Mempho Festival Headliners Announced for October Event

Beck, Phoenix, Post Malone and Nas are the headliners for the second annual Mempho Music Festival Oct. 6 and 7 in Shelby Farms Park.
Beck and the French band Phoenix are the Oct. 6 headliners with Post Malone and Nas the headliners for the second day of the festival whose partial lineup was announced this week.
The lineup includes Grammy winner Janelle Monae, Atlanta rapper Rich the Kid and funk pioneers George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic.
The festival also features lots of local talent including Juicy J and Project Pat, The Bar-Kays, Big Ass Truck, Talibah Safiya and Cory Branan.
Keyboardist Chuck Leavell of the 70s band Sea Level who has also worked as musical director for The Rolling Stones will bring his “Stones Throw” set including musicians who have worked with The Rolling Stones over the years.
