Kirkwood Vangeli, co-founder of Fluxus Skateboard Co., skates at AlTown, a DIY skatepark in Midtown. The park’s walls and ramps recently were repainted with murals during Paint Memphis 2017, a one-day festival that drew more than 150 artists from around the world to create the largest collaborative mural in Tennessee. Paint Memphis was founded in 2015 with the goal of bringing unconventional artists to Memphis to collaborate and expose the city to graffiti as an art form.
