Project Management Institute Memphis Chapter will meet Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Crescent Club, 6075 Poplar Ave., suite 909. Shea Flinn, senior vice president of the Greater Memphis Chamber’s Chairman’s Circle, will address how the business community is bringing transformational change to Memphis. The Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association will host a continuing legal education seminar titled “Celebrating 51 Years of the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association” Thursday, Oct. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Civil Rights Museum, 450 Mulberry St. The CLE will include expert panel discussions and an analysis of cases handled by Ben F. The Orpheum Theatre will host a “Haunted Orpheum” Dinner on Stage event Thursday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. at 203 S. Main St. Learn about the paranormal activity that has haunted the Orpheum since the 1920s while enjoying a cocktail reception, three-course meal with wine, tour of the theater and backstage, haunted trivia and more. Tennessee Small Business Development Center will present an introductory course titled “How to Start a Small Business” Thursday, Oct. 12, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar Ave. The session helps aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead a company and evaluate market potential for their products/services.
