Tennessee Department of Revenue will hold a free tax workshop for new businesses Thursday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Renaissance Center’s Memphis Training Room, 555 Beale St. Tax specialists from local and state agencies will provide information on complying with registration and tax requirements. Wolf River Conservancy will host its 11th annual tree planting on Saturday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at Shelby Farms Park, 500 N. Pine Lake Drive. Volunteers will create a butterfly habitat by planting 350 redbud trees and clusters of butterfly-attracting plants.
