Conley, Andersen Out Tonight at Cleveland With Injuries
By Don Wade
The injury bug continues to have a taste for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The team announced late Monday afternoon, March 7, that point guard Mike Conley and center Chris Andersen will be listed as out for tonight’s game against Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena, and Wednesday’s contest against Boston at TD Garden.
Andersen experienced a left shoulder subluxation in the second quarter of Sunday’s 109-100 loss against Phoenix at FedExForum, and Conley is experiencing soreness in his left foot.
Conley, who has a long history of foot injuries, is averaging 15.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and a team-high 6.1 assists in 31.4 minutes in 56 games (all starts) this season for the Grizzlies. Andersen is averaging 3.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11.7 minutes in 16 games (five starts) for both Memphis and Miami.
Both players will be re-evaluated in three to five days.
