Memphis Irish Society will host a family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day parade in Cooper-Young on Thursday, March 17, at 10 a.m. The route starts at First Congregational Church, 1000 S. Cooper St., and travels north to Memphis Made Brewing, 768 S. Cooper St. Visit memphisirish.com.

The 43rd annual Silky O'Sullivan St Patrick's Day Parade, presented by the Beale Street Merchants Association, will be held Saturday, March 12, at 3 p.m. on Beale Street. Stax Museum of American Soul Music will host an opening reception for Terry Manning’s “Evidence of Life on Earth During Two Millennia” Saturday, March 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the museum, 926 E. McLemore Ave. Manning is a Stax and Ardent Studios producer, recording artist and photographer; this is his first Memphis exhibit. Visit staxmuseum.com.

The Metal Museum will open “F.I.R.E. Glenn Zweygardt: Then & Now” to the public on Sunday, March 13, at 374 Metal Museum Drive. The exhibition will be on display through May 22. Visit metalmuseum.org for a schedule of related events.

Local musicians will play a benefit show for Mid-South Peace and Justice Center on Sunday, March 13, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Amurica, 410 N. Cleveland St. Suggested cover is $10 at the door.
