Another Broken Egg will celebrate its new location at 65 S. Highland St. with pre-opening charity events Friday, Aug. 5, and Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds from Friday’s event will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities-Memphis, and Saturday’s proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Reservations are required and can be made for up to four guests at newatabe.com.

T.O. Fuller State Park will celebrate recent park improvement projects with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. in the park, 1500 W. Mitchell Road. State officials and community leaders will highlight the park’s new interpretive center, water bottle refill station, playgrounds, recreational facilities, hiking trails and more. Mayor Jim Strickland’s Career Carnival and Talent Reception will take place Friday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Memphis Botanic Garden, 750 Cherry Road. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from city divisions and either apply for current openings or create a talent profile that can be matched with future openings. Second annual Memphis Pet Expo will take place Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road. The expo will feature the latest pet products, giveaways, pet adoptions, live entertainment, discounted vaccinations and microchipping, and more. Admission is free; pets welcome.
