Choose 901 will host a 901 Day celebration Thursday, Sept. 1, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Loflin Yard, 7 W. Carolina Ave. The evening will feature food and Memphis-themed drinks for purchase, a live music showcase, local vendors and more. Admission is free. Visit choose901.com.

Victorian Village Inc. will present the Jefferson Avenue Home Tour on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving the public the chance to take docent-led tours through never-before-seen private residences in the Victorian Village neighborhood. Best Memphis Burger Fest is celebrate its fifth year Sunday, Aug. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tiger Lane. Benefiting Memphis Paws Inc., this year’s fest will feature more than 40 teams taking part in burger and bloody mary competitions, plus live music, corn hole tournament, food trucks and more. Stax Museum of American Soul Music and Indie Memphis will kick off the Motown film series with a screening of “Standing in the Shadows of Motown” (2002) on Monday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Stax Museum, 926 E. Latino Memphis Leadership Luncheon will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. The luncheon will feature a keynote by Clarissa Martinez-De-Castro, deputy vice president for the National Council of la Raza; a hip-hop salsa fusion performance by New Ballet Ensemble and Salsa Memphis; and a spoken-word performance conceptualized by Latino Memphis on collaboration with Crosstown Arts’ story booth. Memphis Botanic Garden will host its “My Big Backyard BBQ” themed Vine to Wine tasting on Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MBG, 750 Cherry Road.
