Our Fallen Heroes Foundation will hold its inaugural “A Toast to Our Heroes” fundraiser Wednesday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Tower Center atop Clark Tower, 5100 Poplar Ave., 33rd floor. “Hot Buttered Symphony: Shaft, Isaac Hayes & the Memphis Symphony Orchestra” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, 926 E. McLemore Ave. The event will feature a discussion about the relationship between MSO and local music studios, stories about Isaac Hayes and other Stax artists, and a MSO String Quartet performance of Stax hits. The Mid-South Mayors’ Council will host the RegionSmart summit Thursday, April 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Halloran Centre, 203 S. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis will hold a ribbon-cutting of the renovated 11,000-square-foot gymnasium and programming space at its Oakhaven CLub on Friday, April 29, at 3:30 p.m. at 3900 Tchulahoma Road. Tours of the facility will begin at 4 p.m. Visit bgcm.org.
