Craig Gordon Joins Advanced Dermatology

Dr. M. Craig Gordon has joined Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Associates. As a general dermatologist, Gordon manages dermatologic conditions ranging from acne, warts, eczema and psoriasis to more complex cutaneous lymphomas and autoimmune skin conditions. He also performs cutaneous surgeries and offer medical cosmetic services.
Hometown: Sharon, Tenn.
Experience: Medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis; recently completed residency training at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.
Family: Married with 3 dogs

What talent do you wish you had? I’ve always wanted to be able to write and create music.
Who has had the greatest influence on you and why? My parents have really always encouraged me to shoot for my dreams, no matter what they might be.
What attracted you to Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Associates? I wanted to work for a well-respected and established practice in conjunction with other physicians who hold the patient’s best interest at heart.
What are your goals in your new position? My primary goal is to provide the absolute best care to my patients.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? Completing my medical education has definitely been the greatest accomplishment thus far in my life.
What do you most enjoy about your work? I enjoy interacting with my patients and hearing the variety of stories from other’s lives.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? Don’t give up on education. It opens multiple doors, which would not be possible without education.
Dr. C. Brad Bledsoe has joined Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Associates. Bledsoe earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, completed an intern year in internal medicine and finished his residency training at the Kaplan-Amonette Department of Dermatology at UTHSC.
John Foley has joined Fred’s Inc. as executive vice president of store operations. Foley brings to Fred’s more than 30 years of experience in retail pharmacy chain experience. For the past nine years, he has served as corporate operations vice president at Walgreen’s, responsible for the Eastern Division.
Leigh Pratt has joined Agency Services Inc. as a professional alliance coordinator, serving as a liaison to ASI’s agents and brokers. Pratt has 10 years of experience in the insurance business and has served on the carrier side as a regional representative, as well as a health insurance specialist for a local agency.
Gabriel McGaha has joined Fisher & Phillips LLP as an associate attorney in the firm’s Memphis office. McGaha’s practice will focus on advice and counsel in labor and employment law, representing public and private companies in a broad spectrum of employment-related issues.
Charles D. McVean has been named to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors. McVean is founder, chairman and CEO of McVean Trading & Investments LLC.
Baker Donelson has been named one of Fortune’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women. The Memphis-based law firm is ranked 66th and is one of only two law firms to be included in the list, which was determined by employee surveys and the representation of women within their organizations.
