Another Broken Egg Cafe Opening This Month
By Andy Meek
A Southern-inspired restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and a weekend brunch is opening in East Memphis at the end of this month.
Gouras Restaurant Group is holding the grand opening for Another Broken Egg Café March 30. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant is opening at Park Place Centre, 6063 Park Ave., and will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. seven days a week. It will seat 88 indoors, with an additional 48 seats on the outdoor patio.
The menu includes items like six varieties of eggs benedict, 11 gourmet omelet choices, a signature Bananas Foster over Belgian waffles, French toast, sweet potato pancakes, biscuit beignets, as well as handcrafted burgers, specialty sandwiches and salads.
Menu prices will range on average from $8 to $15. Another Broken Egg also offers healthier options, including granola, fruit and quinoa, gluten-free pancakes, the “skinny omelet,” oats and salmon, among other things.
A sneak preview will be held March 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There’s no charge for the public to attend, and anyone wishing to support the pre-open event must call 901-729-7020 for reservations.
Another Broken Egg started in Miramar Beach, Fla., and currently has locations in 12 states. Gouras Restaurant Group signed a lease for the Park Place locale in February 2014. It will be the second Another Broken Egg owned by brothers Chris Gouras and George Gouras, following their restaurant in Ridgeland, Miss.
They plan to open three more locations in the metropolitan Memphis area over the next three years.
