Special Olympics Greater Memphis will hold the 16th annual Polar Bear Plunge and ninth annual Chili Cook-Off Saturday, Feb. 7, at 125 N. Front St. For a $5 donation, taste and judge chili cooked by 60 teams at the People’s Choice Tasting from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Then at 3 p.m., watch as more than 200 individuals who have raised at least $50 plunge into the freezing Mississippi River. Memphis Child Advocacy Center will host the 23rd annual Works of Heart Auction Saturday, Feb. 7, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Memphis College of Art, 1930 Poplar Ave. The auction will feature heart-themed work by more than 100 regional artists. Tickets are $75. Visit memphiscac.org.
