The Tennessee Small Business Development Center and Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis LLP will kick off the “Protecting Your Intellectual Property” series Thursday, Feb. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Renaissance Business Center, 555 Beale St. Participants will learn more about patents, copyrights, trademarks, nondisclosure agreements and more to protect their business. The Memphis Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will honor Loeb Properties president Bob Loeb, the chapter’s 2014 Communicator of the Year, at its monthly luncheon Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11:45 at the University Club, 1346 Central Ave. Cost is free for members and $25 for nonmembers.
