Visible Music College will host the Memphis is Me mini music festival Thursday, Aug. 20, starting at 5 p.m. at Visible’s Memphis campus, 200 Madison Ave. The one-day festival will feature more than a dozen acts on three stages, all celebrating the best in Memphis music. Moon River Music Festival will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, from noon to 10:30 p.m. at the Levitt Shell, 1928 Poplar Ave. Headlined by Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, the festival includes a slate of local and national performers. Tickets are $35. Visit moonriverfest.com.

Memphis Child Advocacy Center will host a benefit party and performance of “Billy Elliot: The Musical” Saturday, Aug. 15, at Playhouse on the Square, 66 S. Playhouse on the Square will host the Great Wine Performances wine tasting Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Playhouse, 66 S. Cooper St. Characters in full costume will describe the wines.
