A Memphis law firm has inked a new lease at a prominent East Memphis building, pushing the office property toward total occupancy.

The Miles Mason Family Law Group PLC has inked a lease for 2,700 square feet in the Atrium I building at 6800 Poplar Ave.

The Mason Zoccola Law Firm recently completed construction on a 3,854-square-foot office in suite 210 at Atrium I.

The new lease with The Miles Mason Family Law Group brings the 42,124-square-foot Atrium I building to 96 percent occupancy, with only 1,712 square feet available. The 42,099-square-foot Atrium II building is 100 percent occupied.

Located on the north side of Poplar between Kirby Parkway and Oak Hill Road, the Atrium I and II office complex includes two identical buildings with two-story atriums and interior landscaping.

“We feel the location of the buildings, as well as only being two floors with surface parking on both sides of the building, allows for easy access for customers and clients,” said John Mercer, director of leasing for Raleigh, N.C.-based Highwoods.

Highwoods has picked up a lease renewal and expansion in the Southwind area.

ProTech, a long-term Highwoods customer, has renewed its lease at the 10,734-square-foot Shadow Creek I office building at 3350 Players Club Parkway. On April 14, ProTech and its CEO Steve Bargiacchi got an unprecedented level of recognition from Boys & Girls Clubs of America – earning both the National Medallion Award and National Award of Merit in the same year. These two awards are the highest level of recognition the Boys & Girls Clubs of America gives to its supporters and they recognize dedicated and unusual service, resources and overall support of the nonprofit’s mission.

Perkins and Marie Callender’s LLC has renewed its lease in the University of Memphis area.

The company renewed its 5,396-square-foot lease at the University Center at 3455 Poplar Ave., which is located at the southwest corner of Poplar and Highland Street.

The combination of the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery chain with Marie Callender's occurred in 2006. Marie Callender's consists of 45 company and 34 franchised restaurants in six states. Founded in 1958, Perkins operates 410 restaurants –132 company-owned and 278 franchise units – in 33 states and ?ve Canadian provinces.
