The Peabody will kick off its 2015 rooftop party season Thursday, April 16, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the hotel, 149 Union Ave. The event will feature performances by Hollywood and special guest Shaggy, themed buffet and drink specials. Healthy Memphis Food Festival will be held Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Broad Avenue Arts District Water Tower Pavilion, 2542 Broad Ave. The festival will include healthy food vendors, health screenings and advice, music and more. AAUW-Memphis, the local chapter of the American Association of University Women, will present an Equal Pay Day discussion titled “Graduation Into the Pay Gap: Young Women and Work” Saturday, April 11, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Playhouse on the Square, 66 S. MEMFix: The Pinch will be held Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along North Main Street between Jackson and Overton avenues. Rhodes College and the Midtown North neighborhood will present the fourth annual May Day Festival Saturday, April 11, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Rhodes College Learning Center at Shasta Central, 2375 Central Ave. This family-friendly event will include food, music and games. Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce will host an evening with Capt. Richard Phillips Tuesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Germantown Performing Arts Center, 1801 Exeter Road.
