What’s playing on your stereo right now? “On This Train,” Zac Brown Band

Activities you enjoy outside of work: Reading, hiking, grilling, fly fishing, having dinner with my wife.

Who has had the greatest influence on you and why? My greatest influences include my grandparents and parents for raising me and developing my talents. As a young doctor, I’ve been greatly influenced by a number of mentor physicians who spent a lot of time training me!

What attracted you to MOGA? MOGA is an awesome group with which to be involved. The practice has a longstanding reputation for excellence in women’s healthcare in the Memphis area. The environment in the DeSoto office has just been great; everyone has been so welcoming and friendly.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? I’m very proud of the contributions I’ve made to the training of younger resident doctors in the community, but my single greatest accomplishment is being married to my beautiful wife.

What do you most enjoy about your work? The best moments of medicine for me come after delivering a baby or completing a surgery, and sharing my patients’ happiness in getting through such an important moment in their lives safely and successfully.

If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? As my grandfather would say: Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach that man to fish, and you feed him for life.
