Downtown Memphis Commission will kick off the holiday season with the Flip-the-Switch tree-lighting party Friday, Nov. 21, at 4:30 p.m. on Beale Street at Rufus Thomas Boulevard. The event will include hot chocolate and donuts, plus special appearances by Jerry Lawler, Grizz and the Claw Crew, the Memphis Grizzline and Santa. Visit downtownmemphis.com.

David Lusk Gallery will hold an opening reception for Maysey Craddock’s “strand” Friday, Nov. 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the gallery, 4540 Poplar Ave. The show runs through Dec. 20. Visit davidluskgallery.com.

Graceland will hold its annual holiday lighting ceremony Friday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. at Graceland Plaza on Elvis Presley Boulevard. Actor John Stamos and children from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital will flip the switch on the lights and decorations, which will be on display through Jan. 8. Visit graceland.com.

Memphis College of Art will host its 65th annual Holiday Bazaar Friday, Nov. 21, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Rust Hall Main Gallery, 1930 Poplar Ave. Admission is free. Entry to the special preview hours (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) is $20 and includes champagne and tote bag. Visit mca.edu.

The Metal Museum will hold its annual holiday show and sale Saturday, Nov. 22, through Jan. 4 at 374 Metal Museum Drive. Items including jewelry, unique housewares, fire grates, floral sculptures and more will be featured in the museum store. Visit metalmuseum.org.

Go North Stock the ReStore, a donation drive to stock Habitat Memphis ReStore, will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ReStore, 7130 Winchester Road. ReStore accepts new and gently used furniture, home decor, clothing, toys and more. If donors have items that are too large to bring in, they can call 901-RESTORE to schedule a free pickup. The Bradley Law Firm and Culpepper Place of Collierville will hold a Veterans Appreciation Day Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Culpepper Place, 601 Wolf River Blvd. The event will include a seminar on the VA Aid and Attendance Improved Pension and guided tours of the facility.
