KPMG Signs Lease in East Memphis, Leaving Downtown
By Andy Meek
After a year-long study of different options, audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG has made its move from Downtown to East Memphis official with its announcement today of the signing of a 10-year 3-month lease at Highwoods Properties’ Triad Centre III at 6070 Poplar Ave.
KPMG’s Memphis office, which is home to a staff of 60, plans to move out of its current space in the Raymond James Tower next month.
Features of the new space include collaborative workspaces and enhanced technology capabilities, as well as the firm’s plan to minimize its environmental footprint using sustainable construction practices and materials, natural lighting and other energy efficient measures. The firm also plans to get LEED certification for the office buildout.
KPMG worked with Pat Gamble of CBRE to negotiate the lease with Highwoods Properties.
