EMPHASIS Financial Services
Red Door Wealth Management Launches App
By Andy Meek
Banks tend to be the ones most frequently jumping into the smartphone app game among financial services companies. But that doesn’t mean other such firms don’t see plenty to like about putting all those layers of functionality into their clients’ hands.
To that end, Memphis-based Red Door Wealth Management has launched its own smartphone app for iPhone and Android devices. The goal is to help clients do everything from manage accounts to keep up to date on the latest market happenings to having all the information they need to contact their financial team.
Red Door chief investment officer John Phillips pointed to clients of the firm always looking for a “more efficient way of doing business” as a rationale for the firm’s app offering.
“The app is 100 percent secure, as it is managed through our partnership with Charles Schwab,” Phillips said. “It will make things much easier for the clients, who will now have 24-7 access to their accounts. It also allows us to easily disseminate information directly to our clients.”
Among other features available through the app, users can open it and use it to call the Red Door office and email the Red Door team. From the app, users can also jump to the Red Door website and read the firm’s latest “Entryway” newsletter.
Red Door, which was founded in 2010, was named one of CNBC’s “Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms” this year. The firm, which provides asset management services to individuals, families and privately held businesses, maintains a strategic relationship with Cannon Wright Blount PLLC that lets Red Door provide a range of financial planning services under one roof.
