Tripp Logistics Renews Nonconnah Corporate Center Lease
By Amos Maki
Shawn Glemser, founder and owner of Tripp Logistics, a locally owned and operated logistics and transportation company, has renewed his lease at Nonconnah Corporate Center. Elliot Embry and Hank Martin of NAI Saig Co. represented the landlord, Nonconnah Holdings LLC.
Glemser said he first got into the trucking business in 1996 and immediately fell in love with it.
Seeing how a broad range of goods was moved from one part of the country to another fascinated Glemser. Since then, Glemser has filled a niche by providing brokerage services, arranging transportation services for a wide range of companies across the country, and some storage space.
“I’d say 90 percent of my revenue is brokering,” Glemser said.
Glemser said he arranges transportation for a lot of agricultural products, including fertilizer and feed, adhesives and building products.
Glemser said Tripp Logistics’ storage capabilities help carriers keep trucks on the road. For instance, if a truck driver misses a Friday delivery deadline, instead of waiting until Monday to deliver the load, the driver can store the materials at his 4,300-square-foot location at 2892 Barris in Nonconnah Corporate Center where the receiver can pick it up or Glemser can arrange to have the products delivered.
“If that driver can’t deliver that load until Monday, that’s three days of revenue lost because that truck’s not moving,” Glemser said. “I will receive it and hold it so they can move on down the road. It’s cost effective for them to do that.”
Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc. has leased space at Southpark Distribution Center.

In other leasing news, two tenants have renewed their leases at Southaven Commons Shopping Center.
H&R Block and Groomingdales each renewed their leases at Southaven Commons, a 123,000-square-foot shopping center located at 975 Goodman Road, near Swinnea Drive, in Southaven. The center is anchored by a Stepherson’s Superlo Foods grocery store, Harbor Freight Tools and Edward Jones.
