Attorney Pierotti Joins Thomas Family Law Firm

Nicholas J. Pierotti has joined Thomas Family Law Firm PLC as an attorney, marking the firm’s expansion to include probate issues. Pierotti, a third-generation attorney, joins founder Justin K. Thomas in the Memphis-based practice and will work with clients on both family law and probate matters, including wills and estates.

What talent do you wish you had? I am always amazed at how Major League Baseball players can hit a 95 mph fastball. That would be a nice talent.
Who has had the greatest influence on you and why? My grandfather, Horace O. Pierotti. He was a young Italian immigrant who served his country bravely as a Marine during World War II. For many years, he was the honorary Italian consular agent in the Mid-South. Also, he is a retired prominent judge who graciously served Memphis for more than 24 years. He was awarded many honors, including the Presidential Unit Citation, Memphis Bar Association Criminal Section Outstanding Judge of the Year and Shelby County Sheriff’s Association Judge of the Year.
How does the addition of probate help the Thomas Family Law Firm? The addition of probate provides families with the options of arriving at a firm that encompasses all family law matters, including wills and estates.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? I consider practicing law a personal accomplishment to be able to carry on the tradition of the Pierotti name after decades of watching my father and grandfather devote their lives to the Memphis legal community.
What do you most enjoy about your work? Family law plays an integral part in our everyday lives. I am naturally close to my immediate family, so being able to help clients in difficult times has a personal meaning to me.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? Be strong-minded and always be prepared in life.
DeJuan Hendricks has joined LifeLinc Anesthesia as director of business development. Hendricks brings more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience to the firm and will provide leadership for all new client acquisitions nationwide.
A. Stephen Lenz, assistant professor in the University of Memphis department of counseling, educational psychology and research, is one of three professors to receive the Outstanding Research Award from the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling. Lenz worked with two professors from other universities on an article published in Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation.
Greg Davis has joined Century Wealth Management as director of portfolio management. Davis, a certified public accountant, previously served as a financial adviser, tax preparer and manager of a debt collection service.
Imad Abdullah has joined the Memphis office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart PC as shareholder. Abdullah has nearly 10 years of experience in labor and employment litigation and was previously with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC.
Scott Lencke has joined Visible Music College as operations manager. Lencke is a Visible alumnus and served the college in an administrative and teaching role from 2006 to 2008. He most recently served as pastor of Cornerstone International Church in Belgium.
Bob Goheen has joined Crye-Leike Realtors’ Pickwick franchise office. Goheen works with clients in and around Hardin and McNairy counties.
Jeremy Jones, vice president and chief operating officer at Shoemaker Financial, has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation. Jones is with Shoemaker’s headquarters in Germantown.
The Memphis chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors has named its 2014 officers: Frances Anderson of Crye-Leike Realtors, president; Beth Glosson of Fast Track Realty, president elect; Lewis Marshall of Crye-Leike, vice president of membership; Sandy Moore of Baymark Title and Escrow, treasurer; Sherry Scott Chambers of Crye-Leike, recording secretary; and Jessica Buffington of Fast Track, corresponding secretary.
