The Daily News’ offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The National Civil Rights Museum will hold a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration Monday, Jan. 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the museum, 450 Mulberry St. The event will include tours of the “Freedom Sisters” exhibit, music and a preview of the Lorraine Motel exhibit renovations. The Be the Dream MLK Commemorative Celebration will be held Monday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Mason Temple, 930 Mason St. The worship service will be followed by community service projects around the city. Visit bethedreammemphis.com.

The 29th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday parade will be held Monday, Jan. 20, starting with a 10 a.m. program at the corner of Main Street and Auction Avenue. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and travels down Main Street, Exchange Avenue and Second Street to the National Civil Rights Museum. Call 870-5267.

Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association will host a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration Monday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at MIFA, 910 Vance Ave. Fred’s Inc. president and CEO Bruce Efird will speak, and finalists for the teen oratorical contest will be announced. Visit mifa.org.
