Ellis Joins State Systems As Sales Executive

Alisa Ellis has joined State Systems Inc. as a low voltage sales executive. She brings 16 years of telecommunications experience to the company, which offers protection products and services, including fire protection equipment, training and cleaning services, as well as technology services such as network integration, cabling systems and wireless support.
Hometown: Memphis
Experience: My education is in computer science, but then I moved into sales and spent the last 16 years in telecommunications. I also have experience in the golf business and in managing and booking events (tournaments, weddings and banquets).
Family: My two sons, Matthew and Sean, and three grandchildren

Favorite movie: I don’t really have just one, but if I had to choose, I would say “Forrest Gump.”
The sports teams you root for: The Memphis Tigers, the Grizzlies and the Denver Broncos

Activities you enjoy outside of work: Golf, fishing, traveling and spending time with my kids and grandkids
What talent do you wish you had? I wish I was musically inclined. I would love to play the piano.
Who has had the greatest influence on you and why? My dad. He was a kind and compassionate philanthropist that loved helping people.
What attracted you to State Systems? The people. They were customers of mine for five years in my previous job, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn a new industry.
What are your goals in your new role? To use my customer relationships to sell and become a trusted adviser in the fire and life safety industry
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? It is still a work in progress, but I feel good about the work that I do in the community.
What do you most enjoy about your work? The thing I enjoy most is working with different people from all organizations.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? Be yourself and always do the right thing.
Craig Wright has been promoted to technology sales manager at State Systems Inc. He has worked for State Systems for more than five years and previously served as a sales executive. Eric Otten has joined State Systems as a low voltage sales executive, bringing more than 15 years of sales experience to the company.
Dr. Curt Bicknell has been promoted to co-president and partner of long-term care pharmacy Guardian Mid-South. Bicknell has helped establish the pharmacy since it opened in July 2012. Dr. Leigh German has been promoted to director of pharmacy operations at Guardian. German has more than 20 years of experience in pharmacy management.
Tony Alexander has joined the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC as of counsel in the firm’s intellectual property group. Alexander previously served as a managing member of the Technology Legal Counsel and as chief legal officer of Alveolus Inc.
Gwen Ellis-Webb has joined Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital as director of case management and social work. Ellis-Webb is also responsible for case management at Methodist Fayette Hospital. She has more than 30 years of nursing experience, with 20 years in nursing leadership and case management.
Gini Moore has joined LifeLinc as a health care financial data analyst. Moore has more than 13 years of experience in financial aspects of the health care industry, including medical billing, insurance recovery audits and medical debt recovery and litigation.
Jonathan T. Skrmetti has joined the Memphis office of Butler Snow LLP as a member of the commercial litigation practice group. Skrmetti previously served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee as the Assistant U.S. Attorney for the civil rights unit.
Lisa Patton has been promoted to staff accountant at Commercial Advisors Asset Services LLC. Patton joined Commercial Advisors LLC as office manager in December 2005, bringing with her more than 15 years of medical office experience.
Megan Feraci has joined Renaissance Group as a designer, where she will manage interiors projects, and make interior and design decisions and selections. Feraci graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in interior design.
Jackson Knight has joined inferno as junior copywriter. Knight attended Washington and Lee University and previously worked as an intern on inferno’s creative team.
Christian Brothers High School has inducted 10 new members into its hall of fame: Donald A. Norbert Sr., Dr. Adolf W. Karchmer, William M. McKee, Michael Robert Pera, Michael J. Donahue, Robert G. Schaedle III, J. Whitley Wills, Joseph P. Fracchia, Jonathan E. Lyons and Dr. Lucas A. Trautman.
