What’s playing on your stereo right now? A mixture of music from country to rock to pop.
Activities you enjoy outside of work: Being with my family, attending football games and tailgating with my friends at Neyland Stadium, and anything outdoors.
What talent do you wish you had? I wish I could sing. I can’t carry a tune to save my life!
Who has had the greatest influence on you and why? My parents and wife. My parents taught me the values and morals I have and taught me to treat everyone the same, regardless of position or status. My wife taught me to believe in myself and that I could achieve anything I sat my mind to. I am privileged to have a family who supports me in every way possible and that I know will always be there for me when I need them.
What are your goals in your new role? My role will be to become the face of our Collierville market. My family lives in Collierville and I believe the area will continue to grow with the completion of 385. Also with the positioning of Interstate 69/269, I believe the area, including Fayette and DeSoto counties, will continue to grow. Collierville is built on mom-and-pop and family-oriented businesses, and First State wants to be the one-stop shop that families and businesses can grow with in all aspects of banking: personal, business, real estate and investing. We want to be the bank that Collierville citizens can count on.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? Always believe in yourself and always continue learning. I have been in banking 13 years and am still learning different things every day.
