The University of Memphis and Lambda Chi Alpha will host a Lifeblood blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Michael D. Rose Theatre, 470 University St. Visit lifeblood.org.

B.I.G. for Memphis will meet Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Phelps Security, 4932 Park Ave. Buddy Chapman, executive director of CrimeStoppers of Memphis and Shelby County, will speak, and Jeremy Park will provide an update on the Fallen Officer Memorial project. Kiwanis Club of Memphis will meet Wednesday, Oct. 30, from noon to 1 p.m. at The University Club of Memphis, 1346 Central Ave. Todd McCall, special agent in charge, FBI Memphis division, will speak. Cost is $18 for nonmembers.

The 16th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 3, at Playhouse on the Square, 66 S. Cooper St., the Circuit Playhouse, 51 S. Cooper St., and Studio on the Square, 2105 Court Ave. Visit indiememphis.com for a schedule.

AIGA and the Indie Memphis Film Festival will host the Indie Memphis Movie Poster Competition Thursday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 3, at Playhouse on the Square, 66 S.
