Nucor's Executive Chairman DiMicco Retiring

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – Steel company Nucor said Tuesday that Executive Chairman Daniel DiMicco is retiring from his post and the board at year's end.

President and CEO John Ferriola will become chairman at the start of the new year.

Nucor Corp. said it named DiMicco, its former CEO, as chairman emeritus in honor of his distinguished and exemplary service to the company.

DiMicco joined Nucor in 1982. He had served as executive chairman since January and was chairman from May 2006 to December 2012. He served as CEO from September 2000 to December 2012 and president from September 2000 to December 2010.
