The Shelby County Election Commission has certified the results of the Nov. 7 school board elections in Shelby County’s six suburban towns and cities.

The Election Commission certification Thursday, Nov. 21, sets the stage for the school boards in Germantown, Millington, Bartlett, Collierville, Arlington and Lakeland to take office next month.

At that point, four of the school boards would consider voting on agreements with Shelby County Schools on school buildings and payments their towns and cities are making to settle the ongoing federal lawsuit over the formation of suburban school districts.

Negotiations continued late last week on agreements for schools in Millington and Germantown. Tentative agreements had been reached with Bartlett, Collierville, Arlington and Lakeland.
