FedEx Freight Raising Rates 4.5 Percent
MEMPHIS (AP) – FedEx Corp. said its freight unit will raise rates by 4.5 percent beginning July 1.
The move follows Jan. 7 rate increases in its FedEx Express air shipment business and FedEx Ground package shipping business.
FedEx said Monday that its freight fuel surcharges are not changing, and remain among the lowest in the industry.
FedEx shares fell 63 cents to $99.15 in morning trading Monday. They are still near the high end of their 52-week range of $83.92 to $109.66.
