Early Vote Total Shows Suburban School Districts Passing Overwhelmingly

Early vote totals in all six of Shelby County’s suburban towns and cities show a majority of the votes in favor of forming municipal school districts in each of the towns and cities.

The turnout was heaviest in Collierville where a total of 4,840 citizens voted early.

The early vote total for Collierville showed

Yes 4,592 or 94.8 percent

No 248 or 5.12 percent

The closest margin was in Millington where the early vote total from the Shelby County Election Commission showed:

Yes 558 or 75.7 percent

No 179 or 24.3 percent

Here are the other early vote numbers:

Arlington

Yes 722 or 94.5 percent

No 42 or 5.5 percent

Bartlett

Yes 3,165 or 91.4 percent

No 296 or 8.5 percent

Germantown

Yes 3,718 or 93.3 percent

No 265 or 6.6 percent

Lakeland

Yes 488 or 92 percent

No 42 or 7.9 percent
