Kellyn Gowen has joined Renshaw Property Management as marketing coordinator. In her new role, Gowen manages social media, marketing and communications for the company’s 800 Mid-South rental properties, serves as a liaison for property owners and real estate agents, and spearheads marketing efforts for vacant properties.

Education and work experience: I graduated from Christian Brothers University with a Bachelor of Arts in cultural studies and have worked in marketing and editing throughout my career.

What talent do you wish you had? I’m not sure I wish for talents so much as abilities. In that case, as a mother/wife/employee, I wish I had the ability to be in multiple places at once.
Who has had the greatest influence on you? I’m sure without knowing he does, my husband influences me daily to be a more patient person.
What attracted you to Renshaw Property Management? What attracted me most to Renshaw Property Management was to work with such a wonderful team. Bob and Georgette (Renshaw) are incredibly approachable and understanding, and the staff maintains a great balance of dedication and fun.
What are your goals in your new position? My main goal as marketing coordinator is to expand our company’s property management mobile app, available on Android and iPhone. My everyday goal at work is to be accessible and resourceful to all.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment is my family. I have a supportive husband and one cool kid. A close second would be raising more than $10,000 for Team Hoyt and running the 2012 Boston Marathon in honor of my brother, Ryan.
If you could give one piece of advice to young people, what would it be? March to the beat of your own drum.
W. Lynn Evans has been named to the Tennessee Valley Authority board. Evans was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate and will serve through May 2017.
Jonathan Watkins has been named interim CEO at Methodist North Hospital. Watkins joined Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in 2006 as senior project manager in the Corporate Patient Safety & Quality division and was named Methodist North’s assistant administrator in 2010.
W. Steven West has been named a top lawyer in American Lawyer/Corporate Counsel’s 2013 Top Rated Lawyers in Healthcare. West serves as of counsel with Glankler Brown PLLC and senior vice president of community benefit for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.
Rob Hoerter has been named associate vice president for communications, public relations and marketing at The University of Memphis. Hoerter previously served as an account supervisor at TMB Marketing, a division of archer-malmo.
Wright Medical Technology Inc. has been awarded Dale Carnegie Training’s Leadership Award. The award recognizes a company for its special emphasis on development of human resources, innovation and organizational creativity.
Jeff Rhodin has joined Literacy Mid-South as partnership development manager, overseeing the Smart Memphis Coalition program. Rhodin most recently served as communications and programs director at the Tennessee Literacy Coalition.
