Hometown: Florida, New Jersey and Tennessee. I grew up somewhat mobile!

Work Experience: My background is definitely accounting. I have been employed with three different certified public accounting firms since 1993.
Family: Single with children – my two cats.
Favorite quote: “How does it feel to want?” – Anonymous. I am not really a quote person, but it’s something that I keep in mind as much as possible.
Last book read: “Bone by Bone” by Carol O’Connell
Favorite music: Rock
Favorite movie: “The Jacket”
Sports team: NASCAR – The Sprint Cup in particular.
Activities you enjoy outside of work: Swimming, playing with my cats and reading.
What talent do you wish you had? The ability to get more work done in a day would be of benefit to me.
Who has had the greatest influence on you? My stepmom. She has led and advised me throughout life, and I am sincerely grateful for her guidance.
What attracted you to Patrick Accounting & Tax Service? The friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to learn new things were the big draws for me. Patrick Accounting offers a variety of additional services that the other two firms I have worked for did not. There is always a chance to grow with Patrick.
What are your goals as payroll specialist? My goal is really to work with all states and to make sure I am constantly up to date on all the taxes and legalities. I want to make processing payroll easier on both my clients and myself.
What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishments? I pride myself on receiving my associate and bachelor’s degrees. The recent move to becoming a payroll manager also gives me a great sense of accomplishment.
What do you most enjoy about your work? I enjoy staying busy and making the payroll process easy for my clients. Being responsible for making something run smoothly that used to cause clients a headache is gratifying. I don’t think I’d enjoy my job as much if I didn’t get to help people solve their problems. It’s really rewarding for me.
