Courthouse Basement Floods

The heavy morning rains Friday, March 16, caused flooding of the Shelby County Courthouse basement and forced the postponement of cases to be heard in the civil divisions of Shelby County General Sessions Court.

The courts closed for the day at 10:30 a.m. and all cases on the docket for Friday are now rescheduled for Friday, March 23.

The civil divisions of General Sessions Court will reopen Monday, March 19, on the normal schedule.
