Kimberly-Clark Signs Southaven Lease

Kimberly-Clark Corp., a global manufacturer of hygiene and personal health products, has entered the local industrial market in full force.
Construction for tenant improvements is under way in Airways Distribution Center Building D, 228 Access Drive in Southaven, where Dallas-based Kimberly-Clark has leased 556,000 square feet for its health care division.
Kimberly-Clark brand name products include Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend. The corporation’s 2010 sales were $19.7 billion.
Matthew Stauber with Colliers International Chicago and Andy Cates with Colliers International Memphis handled the transaction for the tenant.
Tim Moore, vice president of leasing in Industrial Developments International’s Memphis office, represented the landlord, Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association – College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF).
IDI handles leasing and management for Airways Distribution Center, a master-planned, Class-A business park built in 2005 near Memphis International Airport.
