Visible Music College will hold the seventh annual 24-Hour Drumathon beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21. The entire percussion department will drum for 24 hours at the Ann and Jim Vining Concert Hall, 200 Madison Ave. The event will raise money for Visible Music College drummers to attend the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis. Literacy Mid-South will host its inaugural Super Gala Fundraiser Friday, Oct. 21, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at its office, 902 S. Cooper St. The evening will feature a costume contest, live music, a silent auction, an open bar and food catered by Celtic Crossing. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend. The Kyle Kiihnl Foundation will host The Eye Opener 5K and Fun Run Saturday, Oct. 22, at Shelby Farms Park. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 9 a.m. The Kyle W. The Second Annual Trucking Expo will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road.
