Play for Jay, an event honoring the life and memory of Memphis restaurateur Jay Uiberall, who died in August, will be held Thursday, June 9, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Alfred’s on Beale, 197 Beale St. The evening will include blackjack, roulette and other games, and a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres buffet. Proceeds will be donated to the Jay Uiberall Legacy Fund to support philanthropic causes including assisting aspiring restaurateurs. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
