The American Heart Association will hold “Girl’s Night Out: A Night to Celebrate ‘Go Red for Women’” Monday, June 6, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. The evening will include a silent auction, vendors and a heart-healthy meal. The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will hold a workshop Tuesday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at its office, 5100 Poplar Ave., suite 502. Participants will learn the principles and practices of an effective internal control system. Cost is $60 for members, $110 for nonmembers and $55 for those in the Program for Nonprofit Excellence. The Orpheum Theatre will present Dinner on Stage Tuesday, June 7, at 6 p.m. at the theater, 203 S. Main St. The dinner will include a cocktail reception in the lobby, backstage tour, three-course meal paired with wine, Broadway trivia, Orpheum history film screening, and a question and answer session. Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital will hold a weight-loss seminar Tuesday, June 7, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in classroom 1, first floor of the Women’s and Children’s Pavilion, 7691 Poplar Ave. The seminar is free and open to the public.

The Greater Memphis Chamber will hold a breakfast forum focusing on economic growth Thursday, June 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Joseph DeVivo, chairman of the Greater Memphis Chamber, will speak. The National Hispanic Association will meet Thursday, June 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. Rakesh Kochhar, associate director of research for the Pew Hispanic Center in Washington D.C., will speak about the growth of Tennessee’s Hispanic population.
