The Rotary Club of Memphis Central will meet Friday, June 3, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Dana Baker, counselor at Whitehaven High School, will speak about “What every senior needs to know before applying for college.” Cost is $20 for nonmembers. The Memphis Potters’ Guild 2011 Spring Show & Sale will be held Friday, June 3, through Sunday, June 5, at the Memphis Botanic Garden, 750 Cherry Road. The opening reception will be held Friday, June 3, at 5 p.m. and the show will be Saturday, June 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
