Revid Rebrands Sales Division as incity Realty
By Sarah Baker
Revid Realty LLC has changed the name of its real estate sales division to incity Realty.
Memphis-based Revid, which has a substantial presence in property management, wanted to differentiate its homes sales efforts with a new brand, said Revid principal broker Debbie Sowell.
“Property management is a tough business, it’s hard to stay everybody’s friend,” Sowell said. “Residential real estate is quite different. We wanted to preserve the Revid brand as long as possible, but because the property management company is so successful and their name is out there for that purpose, it was hard for the residential sales side to get a leg up.”
All of the internal workings will remain the same for the Midtown branch at 2100 Peabody Ave. The name, “incity,” was carefully selected to reflect the firm’s overall mission, Sowell said.
“We’re in the heart of Midtown right now in our location and a lot of the agents that work with our company also specialize in the Midtown, Downtown, East Memphis area,” she said. “We wanted to kind of show that we were, without getting too generic with our name like, ‘Midtown whatever,’ that we’re specializing within the city proper.”
Sowell has received final approvals from the Tennessee Real Estate Commission and hopes to have the finalized signs up by the end of the week. A marketing plan will be rolled out in the coming weeks, mostly through advertising in local papers.
“It’s going to cost money to change over,” Sowell said, “so I’m just trying to make it all work with as little money as possible.”
