Favorite quote: “It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old. They grow old because they stop pursuing dreams.” – Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Activities you enjoy outside of work: I love spending quality time with my family. I like outside adventures such as hiking, swimming and taking my dogs to the park.
Who has had the greatest influence on you? I have to say that my greatest influencers have been my parents. My mother has shown me the true meaning of overcoming struggles and excelling, and my father has always been there to support me. My gratitude and admiration for them grows each day, and I hope to instill those same values in my children.
Why did you pursue a career in human resources? I love dealing with people, and HR gave me that opportunity. I started my career with an associate degree in accounting but found that it wasn’t my passion – HR definitely is.
What drew you to ServiceMaster by Stratos? ServiceMaster by Stratos is a “great people company” that believes in “service before self,” and the company really lives by that motto. There’s no better incentive to me than to work with a company that shares my views on the value of company employees, or “service partners” as we call them at Stratos. Service partners are the motor of the company, and I completely agree with the company statement “happy service partners result in happy customers.”
What do you hope to accomplish in your new role? I hope to effectively balance the needs of our service partners and the organization, as well as help the business gain a long-term competitive advantage by maintaining the statement that “ServiceMaster by Stratos is a great people company.”
What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishments? I pride myself in everything I do, and my greatest accomplishments range from receiving a “thank you” from an employee to achieving positive results in situations that made both employer and employees happy.
