GREENBRIER, Ark. (AP) — Another series of small earthquakes is being felt in Faulkner County near the towns of Greenbrier and Guy.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that the recent surge of quakes continued through the weekend and into Monday. The strongest of the dozen earthquakes was a temblor measured at 3.7 magnitude on Sunday morning. Another quake measured at 3.4 magnitude occurred late Sunday afternoon.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
During the past six months, more than 700 earthquakes have been recorded in north-central Arkansas, most centered around the two towns. That includes a 4.1-magnitude temblor that occurred early Friday. Geologists have dubbed the seismic activity as the "Guy Swarm."
