The Rotary Club of Memphis Central will meet Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Darrin Mullis will speak about the Holy Rosary Angel Program, an autism educational support service. The Memphis Urban League will host Girl Power: Follow Your Dreams Conference Saturday, Aug. 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at BRIDGES, 477 N. Fifth St. The conference will encourage 12- to 21-year-olds and their mothers to successfully follow their dreams through renewed confidence and a drive to excel. The conference is free. WKNO/Channel 10 will hold an art opening for artist Lauren Beyer’s “Trains of Souls” Saturday, Aug. 6, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the WKNO Digital Media Center, 7151 Cherry Farms Road. The work will be on display through Aug. 29. For more information, call 458-2521.

The 13th Annual Spirit of SRVS: A Taste of the Good Life will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. The evening will include silent and live auctions, music and entertainment, wine tastings and appetizers from local restaurants. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at the door or at www.srvs.org.

Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders in Memphis and nationwide will get free admission to more than 150 museums including Dixon Gallery and Gardens, 4339 Park Ave., in Memphis Saturday, Aug. 6, and Sunday, Aug. 7. The event will feature a dog contest with special guest judges, demonstrations, pet portraits and a Doggie Expo where owners can connect with the best Memphis resources for raising a puppy.

The Fourth Annual Bartlett a la Carte will be held Sunday, Aug. 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Appling Manor, 1755 Appling Road.
