Fisher Steps Down as Director of MPACT
By Sarah Baker
Gwyn Fisher, MPACT Memphis executive director, is stepping down at the end of the month after three years in office.
In an email Tuesday, Aug. 2, to the nonprofit’s members, Fisher said “after much prayer and consideration” she had decided to step down from her role, but plans to still attend MPACT events and be very much involved in the organization that strives to recruit, retain and engage top talent to Memphis.
“Although my personal journey may take me elsewhere, I am unwavering in my belief in the value and benefits of MPACT,” Fisher said. “If we are ever to build Memphis into a true 21st century City of Choice, MPACT and its mission will be a critical part of that success.”
Fisher led a variety of initiatives for the organization during her tenure, including increased membership and programming, as well as the execution of The Voice of MPACT – the nation’s largest grassroots survey of young professionals by a nonprofit.
In the interim, MPACT’s board of directors and committee chairs will manage programs and events.
