NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Zach Wamp is headed to neighboring Alabama for a campaign fundraiser.

The $500-per-ticket Wamp fundraiser scheduled for Monday in Huntsville features Alabama Gov. Bob Riley.

The Republican congressman from Chattanooga is one of four major candidates seeking the GOP nomination to succeed term-limited Gov. Phil Bredesen. The others are Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam, state Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey of Blountville and Memphis prosecutor Bill Gibbons.

The major Democratic candidates are Jackson businessman Mike McWherter, Senate Minority Leader Jim Kyle of Memphis and former House Majority Leader Kim McMillan of Clarksville.
