Ill. Gov's Brother Won't Cooperate with Feds
CHICAGO (AP) - An attorney for Gov. Rod Blagojevich's brother says his client won't cooperate with federal investigators if he's formally asked.
Rob Blagojevich is a Tennessee businessman who chairs his brother's Friends of Blagojevich fund. He's been identified as "Fundraiser A" in the 76-page criminal complaint charging the Illinois governor with corruption.
Rob Blagojevich hasn't been charged with any crimes.
His attorney, Michael Ettinger, says his client has done nothing wrong, hasn't been formally asked by federal prosecutors to cooperate and won't talk with the federal government.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Dec. 9 on charges that accuse him of scheming to trade President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat for profit. The governor says he's innocent.
