Baptist Health Care’s Pounds Elected to Novation Board

Don Pounds, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp., has been elected to serve on the board of Novation LLC, the health care supply contracting company for VHA, University HealthSystem Consortium and Provista LLC.
Since coming to Baptist in 1987, Pounds has served in a variety of roles, starting as chief financial officer at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County.
Vicki Vinson has joined Zalowitz Frisch Benefits Group as senior account executive for retirement services. Vinson has more than 10 years of experience in the qualified retirement plan market.
Kelley & Associates Advertising has won a MarCom Gold award for a series of ads created for Helena Chemical Co. The ads promoted Helena’s turf management products and appeared in “Golf Course Management.”
Ben Knoernschild has joined Pickering as a structural engineering intern. He is a graduate of Christian Brothers University and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Robert Byrd has joined the Memphis law office of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP as an associate assigned to the law firm’s health care service team. Byrd is a graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he received the CALI Award for Excellence.
Mike Lawhead of Coldwell Banker Hoffman Properties has been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors.

The award is given annually to the Jan-Pro office exhibiting strong leadership based on sales, net gain growth and customer service.
