U of M’s McClurg Honored With Legal Education Award

Andrew McClurg has received the Excellence in Legal Education Award from the University of Memphis’ Law Alumni Board. McClurg is a professor of law and the Herbert Herff Chair of Excellence in Law at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He also is associate dean for faculty development.
The award is given each year to a professor who has excelled in classroom instruction; service to the profession, community, law school and university; and research, scholarship and publication.
John Bobango and Robert Miller of Farris Bobango Branan PLC have been included in the 2009 edition of Mid-South SuperLawyers. Bobango is in the business/corporate, securities and corporate finance category. Miller is in the general litigation category.
Randall L. Churchey has been hired as president and chief executive officer of Education Realty Trust Inc. Churchey previously served as interim chief executive officer of Great Wolf Resorts Inc., where he served as a member of the board since 2004. Churchey also served as president and chief executive officer of Golden Gate National Senior Care from 2006 to 2007, and he served as an independent director on the Education Realty Trust’s board from 2005 to 2006.
William Kenley has been re-elected to the Tennessee Hospital Association board as the Memphis district representative for 2010. Kenley is the chief executive officer of Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.

Emily Rolwing has achieved the National Council for Interior Design Qualification certification. Rolwing is a business development manager at MBI.
Nicole Primes has been promoted to co-manager at Ground Zero Blues Club. Pam Dyer has been promoted to assistant manager and S. Jenkins to bar manager.
JoAnn Hughes of Crye-Leike Realtors Inc. has earned her professional real estate designation as a certified residential specialist.
Dr. Johnathan L. Hadley, Dr. Ashok Jayashankar, Dr. Sridhar Shankar and Dr. Vignathi Atluri have joined UT Medical Group Inc. Hadley is an assistant professor of radiology and specializes in diagnostic radiology, cardiac imaging and neuroradiology. Jayashankar is an assistant professor of radiology and specializes in diagnostic and interventional radiology. Shankar is an associate professor of radiology and has an interest in oncoradiology, tumor ablation, diagnostic and interventional radiology, body MRI and ultrasound. Atluri is an assistant professor of radiology and a specialist in chest, diagnostic and interventional radiology.
C. Suzanne Landers of the Landers Firm has been named a SuperLawyer in the family law/divorce category for 2009. Landers also was selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America for alternative dispute resolution.
Stuart Zalowitz and Jonathan Frisch of Zalowitz Frisch Benefits Group have qualified for the 2009 Leading Producers Round Table at the Eagle level. The LPRT is sanctioned by the National Association of Health Underwriters and represents more than 100,000 licensed health insurance agents, brokers, consultants and benefits professionals.
Isela Velasco has joined Crye-Leike as a sales associate. Prior to her career in real estate, Velasco was an international services manager.
Willie D. Adams Jr. has joined Pickering as an architectural technician. Adams received drafting and AutoCAD training from Tennessee Technology Center.
